Tissue Ghosts

Here is another fun idea of something you can do with your kids or that you can get them started on and then use the time "nugget" you have discovered to work on your business.  I have made this demo into a YouTube video so you can see just how we make these fun Ghosts at our house.  Enjoy!

Edible Playdoh aka Peanut Butter Playdough

You will need:
-3 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
-4 cups powdered sugar
-4 cups powdered milk

Social Networking...confused?

Are you confused by all the Social Networking out there?  Wish there was someone to help you figure it out and what it can do for your business?

You need to visit http://www.mybusinesspresence.com/

It is a great resource for ANY business, under 30 or not!

Quick recruiting tool

Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to be a guest speaker on a teleclass for Juice Plus.  It was a great call about NOW women where I was able to share some great information about this great group.
During the call we spoke a little about a great tool that I am using to help plant the recruiting seed quickly and in a way that people remember and relate to.
Because this is working SO well for me in my business I wanted to share what I have found.  It is a wonderful product that can be found on The Booster site.  That link will go straight to the page where the $100 bill is waiting for you!

Jenny has a little message you can listen to about this that is great and gave me the inspiration to say what I do.  I say- "May I give you something?  I have been really impressed by you and your (insert compliment...personality, way with people, etc) and I think you would be great at what I do.  I can help you make it real.  I will ask you to just put it in your purse and when the time is right for you, give me a call. "

It is that simple, but the results have been amazing.  I use this all the time.  I even had a door-to-door sales-woman come to my house the other day and eventhough I didn't buy what she was selling, I sure gave her one of those!

This is great for the grocery store, in line at the movies, at home parties or events...the possibilities are endless.  You will be planting a seed that will definately grow in their hearts, and I believe that people will respond to it because it is so simple!

I would love to hear about success stories you have had using this, so please email me when you have one to share!!

Sign up for a Twitter account

Another great social networking site out there is Twitter. Twitter is unique because you only have 140 characters to write in. I like this because people are short and to the point. They don't have enough characters to drone on. I can easily find links and other information. Sometimes I hear about things faster on there than I do on the news! It is a great way to socialize and connect with people. Below is another YouTube tutorial on how to set up a Twitter account. This one is just over 2 minutes long.

Another word of warning - be interesting! If you are always writing about your sales or your business opportunity it gets old really quick. Same thing if you are always posting about what you are eating or doing in your day. Try to include useful links, tips, inspirational quotes, a few of your sales, etc. Mix it up. If you need a friend, my username is @time4felt - I would love to add you!

Sign up for a Facebook account

Facebook is a quickly growing social network on the internet. It is so much fun to reconnect with people you know! I use it to communicate with people on my team or in groups that I'm interested in. It is also a great way to connect with new people. If you are not on Facebook already, you are missing out on a great opportunity to offer your products or business opportunity to all kinds of people. Here is a short video (5 mins) on how to set up a Facebook account.

Be sure to use caution. Don't spam people with "join my business" stuff all the time. You want to include things that are interesting to the others there. Talk. Build relationships. Then you can occasionally mention your products or business opportunity. Just be the kind of person you would want to be a friend to.

Are you Technology savvy?

The under 30 generation is more reliant on technology than any other generation. They expect everyone else to be as well. Sites like Facebook, My Space, YouTube, Twitter, Linked In and many others are places they all frequent! Most have had a cell phone for years and could almost text while sleeping they do it so often! This is how the WOW generation communicates.

Because social networking is growing everyday it is something that if you aren't doing...you should be! In my next few posts, I will help walk you through getting set up on a few of these sites. They are great to connect with people on your teams or downlines and some people even use these kinds of sites to find new people to recruit!

Welcome to the NOW genenration blog!

Welcome to the NOW generation blog. I am the representative for the DSWA Diversity Center in the under 30 age group! I am honored and humbled at the same time.

Here I will be posting about ways to connect with those who are under 30 in your Direct Sales business. I will let you know a little more about what's important to NOW women, what we think about us and a few ways to connect with us better.

I hope that you will find this information useful as the under 30 group is not well represented currently in the Direct Selling Industry it could be a chance for those who ARE under 30 to connect and for those who want NOW women on their teams to relate to us better.

Welcome and come back often!
